Description
Recognizing the importance of developing human resources capable of building and managing information systems to support management functions and levels within organizations, and the importance of harnessing information and communication technologies in a way that achieves efficiency and quality of work for organizations and institutions in society, thus achieving a competitive advantage that enables their growth and sustainability, the College of Accounting established the Department of Data Analysis in 1989. The first graduating class from the department was in 1993, with three graduates. To date, approximately 500 graduates have emerged from the department, the vast majority of whom have proven their competence in the job market. Perhaps the most compelling evidence of this is that most of the current faculty members in the department are graduates who had the opportunity to pursue further education in various countries around the world, such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Australia, Malaysia, and Germany, all of whom completed their studies successfully and with distinction. The remaining graduates have demonstrated their competence in sectors such as banking, government institutions, and educational establishments.
